Pride in the Tiger Foundation continued its commitment to enhancing classroom experiences by awarding more than $98,000 in Teacher Impact Grants to educators across Marshall’s public and private schools this year.
These grants, made possible through the generosity of donors and community supporters, will impact students in all of Marshall’s schools including Marshall High School, Marshall Middle School, Park Side Elementary, Southview Elementary, Holy Redeemer School, Samuel Lutheran School, and True Light Christian School.
From career and technical education equipment at Marshall High School to hands-on learning tools in elementary classrooms, this year’s funded projects reflect the creativity and dedication of Marshall educators.
Classroom Spotlights in Action
At Marshall High School, students in advanced career pathways courses will gain hands-on experience with industry-relevant equipment in areas like small engines and video production, building real-world skills that prepare them for careers after graduation.
Marshall Middle School received new classroom resources and equipment will enhance learning in a variety of classrooms including math, art, music & agriculture.
Park Side and Southview Elementary Schools received grants that support literacy initiatives, classroom engagement tools, and enrichment opportunities that foster a love of learning and strengthen foundational skills.
At Holy Redeemer, Samuel Luther and True Light Christian Schools, funding will expand access to innovative classroom materials and student experiences ensuring all Marshall students benefit from engaging, high-quality learning environments.
Across the community, additional grants are supporting financial literacy programming through Junior Achievement, environmental science learning, field trips, and more bringing meaningful, hands-on opportunities into classrooms every day.
“This grant has allowed us to create opportunities for our students that simply wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. We are seeing increased engagement, confidence, and excitement for learning in our classroom every day.”
— Chace Pollock, 3rd Grade Teacher, Southview Elementary
“These grants are a direct investment in our students and teachers,” said Krista Bjella, Executive Director of the Pride in the Tiger Foundation. “They empower educators to bring ideas to life. Ideas that inspire curiosity, build skills, and create meaningful learning experiences for students every day.”
The Teacher Impact Grant program remains a cornerstone of the Foundation’s mission, providing resources that go beyond traditional funding and ensuring all students have access to opportunities that support their growth and success.
Thanks to the continued generosity of the community, Pride in the Tiger Foundation is proud to support innovative teaching and learning across all of Marshall’s schools making a lasting difference, one classroom at a time.
