Pride in the Tiger Foundation’s Annual Golf Classic brought together golfers, sponsors, and volunteers for a day filled with friendly competition, laughter, and a shared commitment to supporting Marshall students. Held on July 13 at the Marshall Golf Club, this year’s tournament raised $18,000 to support educational opportunities in Marshall’s public and private schools.
Every golfer who teed off and every sponsor who invested in the event helped make a lasting impact. Proceeds from the tournament will support the Foundation’s mission of providing classroom grants, scholarships, and innovative learning experiences that help students thrive.
The day began with team check-in and a delicious pulled pork lunch with fresh cookies, generously provided by Performance Foodservice and Subway, before golfers headed to their assigned holes for a shotgun start. While the summer sun made for a warm day on the links, golfers stayed cool with complimentary bottled water provided by Marcus Construction and enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of contests, prizes, and friendly competition.
Throughout the course, golfers had opportunities to compete in hole contests, putting and chipping challenges, and other games made possible through the generosity of local businesses. These activities added an extra layer of excitement while helping raise additional funds to support students.
A special thank you goes to our tournament sponsors, whose generous support helped make this event possible. From our presenting and hole sponsors to the businesses that donated prizes, contests, refreshments, and golfer gifts, your partnership demonstrates what can happen when a community comes together to invest in education. Your support allows Pride in the Tiger Foundation to continue creating opportunities that inspire learning, growth, and success for Marshall students.
