On Wednesday, November 20 at the Marshall Area Chamber Annual Meeting, Pride in the Tiger Foundation was selected as the non-profit of the year.
“This organization continues to work hard to make sure that all schools have the supplies and opportunities that they need,” said Chamber President Brad Gruhot.
Supporting students and educators in Marshall’s public and private schools is the cornerstone of the foundation’s work. Through Teacher Impact Grants offered twice a year and scholarships given to graduating seniors at Marshall High School, Pride in the Tiger’s mission is to provide educational opportunities for kids.
“We are so humbled by this recognition and proud of the work we do to support kids,” said Executive Director, Krista Bjella. “This work wouldn’t be possible without our amazing board of directors who work to ensure that we consistently meet our mission! The Marshall community also deserves recognition for this award, without their generosity this foundation wouldn’t be possible. We are able do so much great work for education because of individual donors, business sponsors and alumni. We are so grateful for the financial support of so many. Marshall is a generous community filled with people who want to see it grow and prosper knowing our youth are its future.”
Pride in the Tiger Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to provide financial and other support to activities and extraordinary educational programs in Marshall’s public and private schools. It is the Foundations mission to support our children’s personal growth and development in their pursuit of excellence.
