On May 14, 2025, the Marshall High School gymnasium transformed into a place of joy, pride, and possibility. Families, educators, community leaders, and students filled the room for an evening of celebration: the annual Pride in the Tiger Foundation Scholarship Ceremony.
Amid the buzz of proud conversations and congratulatory hugs, 134 students were recognized for their hard work, determination, and post-secondary aspirations. This year, the Foundation awarded an incredible $224,865 in scholarships—each one a testament to the community’s deep-rooted commitment to its young people.
The ceremony opened with a warm welcome from Pride in the Tiger Foundation (PITF) Executive Director, Krista Bjella. “The generosity of our community is truly inspiring,” said Krista Bjella, Executive Director. “Every dollar awarded tonight represents someone who believes in these students’ potential. It’s more than financial support—it’s encouragement, it’s hope, and it’s an investment in our shared future.”
Following a student developed video highlighting PITF’s Teacher Impact Grant program, members of the Marshall High School faculty began announcing the scholarship recipients.
Scholarship recipients included students pursuing a wide range of paths—from four-year universities and technical colleges to apprenticeships and military service. From future teachers, engineers, and artists to aspiring healthcare professionals and entrepreneurs, the evening honored the diverse talents and dreams of the Class of 2025.
As the final scholarships were awarded and families gathered for photos, the spirit of celebration was unmistakable. The 2025 Pride in the Tiger Foundation Scholarship Ceremony was not just an awards night—it was a reflection of a community united in support of its youth. And with 134 students stepping confidently into their next chapter, Marshall’s future continues to shine brightly.
