Celebrating Service, Legacy, and Community: 2025 Hall of Honor Recipients

The Pride in the Tiger Foundation proudly celebrated the 2025 Hall of Honor inductees during a special event on September 12, recognizing three honorees whose lifelong dedication to Marshall Public Schools and the community continues to shape the lives of students and families.

This year’s inductees, Harry and Jaen Weilage, Bruce and Vicki Lamprecht, and Drew Kindseth, represent the best of what it means to give back, to lead with purpose, and to believe in the power of education.

Harry and Jaen Weilage – Community Impact

When Harry and Jaen Weilage moved to Marshall in 1980, they brought with them a deep sense of community and a shared commitment to service.
Harry’s career as the city’s Director of Parks and Recreation and Community Education left a lasting mark on Marshall, transforming 51 acres into what is now Independence Park and helping develop more than a dozen parks across the city.
Jaen, a Recreation Therapy graduate, dedicated her career to serving older adults through social services, assisted living programs, and volunteer leadership with the Marshall Area Dementia Network.

Together, the Weilages raised three children, Drew, Laurel, and Hope, who thrived in Marshall Public Schools. Their family’s gratitude for those experiences led to the creation of the Harry & Jaen Weilage Family Scholarship, awarded each year to a student leader who demonstrates Tiger Pride.
With an endowed fund established in 2021, the Weilages continue to model generosity and community spirit values they hope to pass on to their growing family and future generations of Marshall students.

Bruce and Vicki Lamprecht – Staff Impact

Few families have given more of their time and talent to Marshall Public Schools than Bruce and Vicki Lamprecht. Since arriving in Marshall in 1979, both have built careers grounded in service and education.
Bruce served as Director of Business Services for 25 years, guiding the district with sound stewardship and a focus on student success. Vicki taught in all three public elementary schools, Park Side, East Side, and West Side, while coaching gymnastics, volleyball, and track, and leading community programs through Marshall Community Services.

Even in retirement, their leadership continues. Vicki teaches Sunday school and music at First Lutheran Church, while Bruce remains active on numerous community boards, including the Pride in the Tiger Foundation.

Their Bruce & Vicki Lamprecht Scholarship, endowed in 2023, supports graduating seniors pursuing degrees in Business Management or Elementary Education, fields that reflect their own lifelong dedication to students, leadership, and learning.

Drew Kindseth – Alumni Impact

A 1970 graduate of Marshall High School, Drew Kindseth was a three-sport standout and co-captain of the Tigers basketball team that advanced to the state semifinals in the final year of Minnesota’s one-class tournament. But his greatest legacy came years later, through his commitment to honoring a teammate and friend.

After the passing of teammate Clark Wigley, Drew and his 1970 teammates created the 1970 Best Teammate Scholarship, a fund recognizing not the top scorer, but the player who leads with encouragement, effort, and heart.
Now endowed and nearing a milestone growth goal, the scholarship continues to celebrate the true spirit of teamwork that defined that unforgettable team and the community that shaped them.

Drew’s story reminds us that the lessons learned through Marshall Public Schools and athletics extend far beyond the court they build character, connection, and lifelong purpose.

Honoring a Tradition of Giving

The Hall of Honor recognizes individuals whose leadership, generosity, and belief in education make a lasting difference for Marshall students. Since its inception, dozens of honorees have joined this distinguished group, each contributing in their own way to a stronger future for our schools and community.
